The reports from Bootorab families affected by earthquake in Kermanshah
The reports of the group sent by Etrat Bootorab charity to the earthquake affected areas of Kermanshah to examine the housing problems of those covered by the Institute.

TEHRAN, BCI. According to the Public Relations Department of Etrat Bootorab, a group of senior managers of the Etrat Bootorab Charity Foundation went to investigate the precise situation of the earthquake in the province of Kermanshah and to calm the affected families.

On this trip, which lasted from December 22 to 25, Aliasghar Javanshir, the CEO and Yadollah Souri assistant manager, and Nabiullah Eshghi Senior Adviser visited the cities of Sarpol-e-Zahab, Gilan-e-Gharb, Dalahoo, Kerend, Gahvare and some of the surrounding villages and then distributed some of the public donations among the supported families of charity.

The reports of this group were as follows:
A meeting was held on Thursday with the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation in the Gilan-e-Gharb, followed by a visit to the city of covered families in several villages and the suburbs of the city. Families, despite the bitter memories of the earthquake, expressed their satisfaction with the phone call of the Institute's employees and also the presence of its ambassadors. Urban population of Gilan-e-Gharb is about 20,000 inhabitants and its rural population is about 40,000 inhabitants. Only one person has been casualty and a few number have been injured; there is no complete demolition of homes in this area.

The next destination was Sarpol Zahab. Most of the earthquake damage has hit the city and has had a lot of human casualties and injuries. Most of the homes have been destroyed, and the rest are not available due to cracks. The earthquake devastation is obvious from 15 km distance around the city and all the villagers are located around the road inside the tents. Ninety percent of personal buildings, offices, houses of Mehr, assistive organs, and even the tomb of Imamzadeh Ahmad Ibn Ishaq, the descendants of Imam Musa Kazim with 5,000 square meters of infrastructure and the Sar-e-Pol Seminary are also destroyed or they’re no more usable. The number of families covered by the institution in this area is about 18, and their home must be rebuilt and renovated.

On Friday, the families supported by charity in several towns and villages of Gahvare, kerend, Dalahoo, and Islam Abad-e-Gharb were visited. In this area, few units are damaged and need to be restored, and the problem of 3 families is serious and acute.

Up to now, about 200 million Tomans have been provided by non-cash public donations, including food, apparel, detergents, carpets, blankets, quilts, heating equipment and other supplies. The headquarters of charity in Tehran collected the needs from Tehran, West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan, Fars and Isfahan and delivered them to the office of Etrat Bootorab in Kermanshah. Some of them are already distributed and the rest are being segregated, classified and distributed between families.

It is worth noting that, according to the Red Crescent Society, a total of about 80,000 tents were delivered to the damaged people, and a large number is provided by the people and is sufficiently available, but due to cold weather and winter rainfall, they need to be provided with a conex. The problem of bathtubs still exists.

According to the report, the housing situation of the affected families of Bootorab is as follows:

- 23 units including 14 individual units (3 rural and 11 urban homes) and 9 non-personal units (2 rural homes and 7 urban homes) have been destroyed.
The number of 57 units consists of 43 individual units (25 rural homes and 18 urban homes) and 14 non-personal units (7 rural and 7 urban homes) damaged and requires reconstruction.
A meeting with the presence of founder Seyyed Nasser Mohammad Seyyedi and manager of the Housing Coalition of Etrat Bootorab Charity will be held to review and make appropriate decisions to address the problems facing the affected people.
